Ath the start of the negotiations, a so-called collaborative protocol is signed. This agreement contains the 'rules' that the lawyers and parties must adhere to. Financial agreements are included
therein and the nature of the dispute is described.
The collaborative negotiations are conducted on a voluntary basis and are strictly confidential. To safeguard this confidential nature, the collaborative lawyers will have to withdraw from the
dispute between the two parties if agreement is reached.
